Automatic donor plasmapheresis device NexSys PCS 300, Haemonetics
The PCS300 plasma collection system is designed specifically for plasmapheresis. It provides high performance, reliability and quality of the device. Plasmapheresis is carried out in an automated single-needle blood centrifugation mode. Small dimensions and weight (no more than 30 kg) allow it to be delivered to any place.
The device is ready for operation almost immediately after turning on the power after the monitoring system has carried out tests for malfunctions and compared the technical characteristics with the specified values. It is possible to obtain the following products: • plasma with low platelet content (PPP); • plasma for freezing (FFP). After the plasma collection cycle, the remaining blood cells are returned to the donor. In this case, it is possible to replace the plasma with a NaCl solution during the return cycle.
The safety and effectiveness of the procedure is ensured by the use of:
•self-priming pumps
•high quality optical sensors
•pressure monitor in donor line pipes
•redundant air sensors
•communication data block or internal data card
•barcode reader Simplicity and maximum understanding of operation thanks to:
•automatic refueling
•minimum number of warnings
•easy to read display
The device software is represented by the NexSys PCS® plasma collection system. The NexSys PCS® Plasmapheresis System features bi-directional BECS connectivity, a large touch screen, built-in control system, automatic treatment programming, silent operation, color beacon and donor information display. NexSys PCS software allows you to precisely target pure plasma collection volume rather than total donation volume.
NexSys PCS is designed to optimize efficiency and ease of use by:
• Enabling automatic data collection and donor attraction signals;
• Using a new user interface to create step-by-step workflow support;
• Providing real-time monitoring of procedures and intervention prompts;
• Integration of a simplified centrifuge lid lock;
• Inclusion of easier-to-load linear sensors;
• Integration of a barcode scanner to track batches of consumables;
• Providing an internal structure that is easier to maintain.
